Hi Aleks, I'm just thanking you for getting into the wonderful musical stylings of Stereolab. I remember checking them out after seeing you wear a 'lab shirt waaaay back on Thumb Bandits and I was in awe instantly. And now, 6 years later, they're still amazing me with each listen. So thanks! :)
While I'm here, what's your favourite Stereolab song/album? I'm quite impartial to Dots and Loops to be honest, but Need To Be off Margerine Eclipse is my favourite song at the moment. The new single's fantastic too!
Birthday Greetings Aleks. I do not understand Second Life, but I am going to the basement of Snake Mountain to play a game of Ms Pac-Man in your honour. Have a most stylish day, F.S. x

I can't get my bulletins to work, but I think this is really cool and you should check it out, so please excuse the lengthy comment! ________________________________________ The Jasper Fforde Adventure : Only you can save literature!
Saturday 7th July 07 Swindon train station
The new Jasper Fforde book First Among Sequels, comes out this Tomorrow (05.07.07). Set in an alternate version of Swindon, it tells the exploits of Thursday Next - Carpet fitter, mother, cheese smuggler and crime fighting detective.
However, there had been a rumour that the next book in the Thusday Next series was going to be called 'The Great Samuel Pepys Fiasco' instead, and this book feels cheated that it didn't get to be written! TGSPF has sent out a (bad) copy of Mr. Fforde into the real world to try to get itself written as it 'should' have been. Fake Fforde (or Ffforde) has been tricking people into writing for him via a quiz and directing the characters of TGSPF to pillage story from classic books - which are then going blank in our world!
But all is not lost, as they say, his nefarious deeds have been spotted by mild mannered bookshop assistant Amy Greenford, who with your help intends to stop him before he completes his manuscript and overwrites First Among Sequels as well as destroying classic literature for good!
Saturday 7th July, from 1pm, Ffforde is making his public appearance in a secret location in Swindon, this is our only chance to stop him! Amy needs as many people as possible to get themselves invited to his 'secret' event, to help vanquish the megalomaniac Ffforde.
