Hottwerk Records boss Tobias Doppelganger has been steadily building an awesome reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting dj/producers, decimating dancefloors all over from Benicassim Festival to the Ministry of Sound, alongside such heavyweights as Tiga, Jack Beats, Scissor Sisters, Riton, Hadouken!, and many others. With Mixmag recently comparing him to Herve, the future looks set for Tobias to take his game to a whole new level...
With an irreverent approach to genre, his productions and dj sets effortlessly straddle everything from minimal techno bleepery to disco to house to bass heavy twisted party-starters, "a good tune is a good tune" his maxim.
Recent EP "Rotters Delight" has been gathering heavy support from big names, achieved 8 out of 10 in International DJ Magazine and a glowing Mixmag review; this success follows 2008’s acclaimed "Blood EP" (with Sam Russo) and this year’s remixes for Patrick Wolf, Losers, Pacific!, Chanty Poe, and Punx Soundcheck. Tobias's cheeky rerubs of Santogold's "Creator" and more recently Boy 8 Bit's "Baltic Pine" have been causing commotions in clubs and on radios globally.
Official remixes for Tronik Youth, Relation, and a high profile re-release of a 90's dance classic are due out later this year.
