TOCHA (voice, texts and effects) and PESTANA (guitar, beats and hits) are both from Portugal, but now based in Berlin and Lisbon. They have been working together for the past ten years in musical performances, soundtracks and cinema. TOCHAPESTANA follows the tradition of the marvellous power romantic duos from Portugal and the tecno-electro soundsystems going all the wa down to the dance floor. On stage they are a powerful electro mobile dance hall crossing Portuguese techno-kitsch with universal turbo-punk. In 2011 they will edit their debut album in a CD+DVD edition that celebrates 5 years career. TOCHAPESTANA doesn't believe in fame or publicity but in touching people by truth and intensity. A TOCHAPESTANA is much more than and band is an event, an experience not art.
