There's a spartan simplicity about an ill-attended website that would suit Kurt very well. It has an aesthetic to it, free from clutter and spin. I hope I haven't blemished it with a comment.
I still think tock-tick is sublime, and I've still got my ear to the ground for any rumblings of a Vonnegut album. But so far I detect only three Indians, on foot, and what is either a steam locomotive or an extraordinarily bad hang-over with stripes.
i had the pleasure of making to clowes hall for mark's reading of kurt's lecture... when they announced kurt wanted no introduction just a song, i had it feeling it was going to be this track. i remember there was a link to a short clip of 'so it goes' on his site waaay back when... alls i wanted after hearing the clip was to hear the rest... but i was young and broke... now i am old and broke... but i have heard the whole thing now. 99¢ on itunes, now alls i need is a credit card... i'm close! so close.
Heard Tock Tick on the radio and was blown away. RIP Kurt Vonnegut. Excellent work, Simon. It was cool to find out you were from Melbourne. If you ever need violin, mandolin or any other input for your projects, feel free to contact me. Alex. Tinpan Orange.
