Camp Ondessonk Organizers want you to know why treehouse camping is the best way to go for TOCO 2008:
"The Tree-Houses are located intentionally in very rugged and nature-based places to immerse campers and visitors directly in their natural surroundings.The majority of our Units are built as Tree-House units because it's just really cool, but more importantly, it is intended to reduce the human-caused impact directly surrounding them. We take ecological responsibility very seriously, and though it is extremely challenging due to the sheer number of people that enjoy this place each year, we do actively take steps to try to minimize our foot print on the Earth as much as we can control."
THIS JUST IN! The 7th Annual TOCO FAMILY FESTIVAL & CAMP OUT Benefiting THE MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION will be hosted in the Shawnee Forest at Camp Ondessonk on September 5th & 6th 2008.
This camp is amazing! www.ondessonk.com. Just 2 hours from St. Louis:Everyone camps in tree houses. There are nice lakes for swimming & canoing; horseback riding is available; and we've got a great music line-up spanning the genres preforming inside a giant screened in lodge for the comfort of all. There will be lots for the kids to do and plenty of fun activities for the adults as well! Join Us Won't You!
For charitable & educational purposes, TOCO (Tapestry of Community Offerings) arranges family themed events; sets up scholarships, and also reuses, recycles, and resells used items in order to raise awareness, funds, & support for the community at large and specifically for families and children in need.
TOCO ALSO EXTENDS FAR BEYOND ANY FESTIVAL OR ANY PARTICULAR YEAR. TOCO LOOKS TOWARD THE GOAL OF A PERMANENT FULL TIME SPACE THAT WILL WORK TO OFFER HOPE AND OUTREACH TO CHILDREN and FAMILIES IN SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

Thank you for the add my sister was diagnosed with luekimia when she was younger. The make a wish foundation is truly a blessing and they granted her a wish. I will do anything to support this effort and everyone should.
I didn't even realize you had a website, I've spent a lot of time in the woods lately you see...don't get jealous, there's plenty of tree hugs to go around!
Hey toco tree, I know you don't really worry too much about years and time and such, but we people get confused when you put in "2007" on your website for the 2008 festival.
I was at some of the toco festivals in the slideshow! the one at bearcat getaway, and whichever one with the giant teepee lol. I remember Rodney branagin[sp?] played that show.
I'll totally make the next ones man! ToCo is Awsome!
