Born at an early age..Todd has been playing music most of his life. At age 17 he hooked up with CNY favorites Harvest. Harvest was real popular/busy at the time and Todd spent the next 2 years touring around college campuses in the Harvest bus. He then moved to Florida where he was introduced to another guy with Syracuse ties, Tom Townsley. They became great friends. Todd went back to college majoring in music. A few years later Tom and Todd hooked back up in The Cold Shot Blues Band. Cold Shot was riding the heels of The Kingsnakes immense popularity and the re-birth of the Syracuse blues scene. After beating out 100 local bands in 95X's Seagrams talent search they went on to finish in the top 4 nationally with "Take Me To Chicago". During this time they got to open for virtually every great touring blues artist including BB King, James Cotton, Johnny Winter, Lonnie Brooks, Ronnie Earl, etc. While visiting Chicago they hooked up with the great Jimmy Rogers and PineTop Perkins. At the time both were not touring or playing. Todd sent Pinetop a plane ticket, booked a series of gigs with Cold Shot and got to tour around with a real legend. Since things went so well they repeated the the trick with the late Jimmy Rogers.
Todd went on to form "Hoy Hoy" a 5 piece horn band playing the best of New Orleans, Swing, and blues. From there he went on to play with Rooselvelt Dean, Marcia Hagan, Ronnie D, and The Sharp Dressed Penguins and Tom Townsley. Tom Townsley and The Backsliders released "Moonlight Worker" which did real well. In his review of this album Bob Margolin wrote "great guitar, traditional without being generic". In 1999 Todd was voted favorite guitarist by Blues Connection magazine. From 2001 to 2004 Todd played with Pete McMahon and the SuperNaturals and picked up a Syracuse Sammy for Best Blues Album in 2004. Todd now does limited appearances for special occasions and appears with his wife, Rebecca Fitzsimmons as an acoustic duo.
