Born in Austin Texas, Todd Phelps believes music is a dance between the listener and the creator changing moment to moment. His first CD, 'The Austin Song and Some More From Home' was released in 1999 and his edgy 'Austin Song', produced by Brian Hofeldt of 'The Derailers', rose to popularity within the region and on the radio. Todd's original sound was steeped in the traditional flavors of Buck Owens and Texas greats such as Waylon Jennings.
Recently Phelps has creatively blended his Texas roots and flare with upbeat, rich and soulful sounds, "Country meets the Black Crowes" says Jared Vrazel of Acountry.com . His strong stage presence, style and keen crowd sense has earned him popularity among fundraisers, rodeos and venues. Recently he headlined at the official Rose Bowl Bash in Los Angeles California and rode in the Celebrity Motorcycle Ride and walked the Orange Carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards .
