Influences
Early on I was influenced mainly by 80's metal guitar players - George Lynch, Jake E. Lee, Matthias Jabs, Michael Schenker (get the picture?). Then I spent a while absorbing 70's classic rock. Throw in a healthy dose of jazz from Berklee College of music and you've got me.
These days when I think of influences it is mainly from a lyrical perspective and those are mainly Dave Matthews and Alanis Morrissette because I love the way they express themselves.
Sounds Like
Sometimes like Bare Naked Ladies, sometimes like Iron Maiden. Depends how pissed off I am.
I have been playing music all of my life. For the past 20 years I have been playing guitar and working on my engineering/producing chops. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1993 with a degree in music production and engineering.
In 1999 I joined the Celtic rock band Tempest and spent the next three years playing lead guitar for them all around the U.S.
In 2002 I recorded my first solo project, 'Lines On The Wall'. The CD is self produced and I am not signed to any label. If you like what you hear, the CD is available at www.toddevans.net.
Below is a YouTube player which contains videos of me performing my original songs solo on acoustic guitar. I will add more as they become available (in other words - when I make em). For now you can watch "Skippin'", "Holy War?", "Celebration Song" and "Rat Race" ENJOY!!!
NOTE: The Karflukumentary is still available for viewing at MY WEBSITE
Tod, Thank you sincerely for the kind words. No that's not me, the main character (Mr. Endicotti) is an amalgam of many different people I've known. So rest-assured, your wallet will always be safe in my care. I really appreciate you scrutinizing the work, as most people just give a cursory glance. I find it interesting that you deemed it partly sad/painful. I never looked at it that way. But I guess it really is chock full of miseryl! I hope you are well and look forward to our next meeting. J>O
