Todtgelichter was formed by Frederic (Git), Tentakel Parkinson (Dr) and Björn (Bassg) in Hamburg, Germany in Spring 2002. Shortly after Björn left and Mort (Voc) joined. Together they recorded the demo “Fluch/ Sog In Den Wahnsinn” which was completed and self- released in autumn 2003, being sold out nearly five months later. During the recordings Nils (Bassg) joined. Todtgelichter started playing live shows in Spring 2004, and around then Felix (Git) completed the line- up. It was this constellation which recorded the debut- album “Was Bleibt…” which was released via Folter Records around the beginning of 2005. Many successful gigs, including headliner- and festival- gigs were played this year. During the preparations for the next album in early 2006 Felix left the band and was replaced by Claudio (Git). The cooperation between the band and Folter Records continues to bring forth the second full- length “Schemen” which is due may 2007.
