Easiest way to see what I listen to is to check out my Last.FM page. But in case you're too lazy to click the link, I'll make a quick list of what's been at the top of my playlist as of late:
Nine Inch Nails, Selfmindead, Muse, Regina Spektor, SnailhuntR, Extol, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, The Killers, Five Iron Frenzy, Colin Hay, Reggie and the Full Effect, Embodyment (of the embrace days), UnderOath, CKY...blah blah blah
As for me personaly, I record music on my own, of varying genres, which can be found here
I'm working my way up in Atlanta's Post Audio Industry. I have a love for making music that can't even been squelched by being in a band, writing and recording my own songs (see above), and playing with the band at my church. I play guitar and drums, and can do a mean ProTools solo.
I'd Like To Meet:
Traceurs, Recording Geeks, and bands that support the local scene.
Movies:
I love a good movie. I'm a sucker for just about anything Horror, as long as it's not teenagers with large breasts running up stairs. But I love just about all kinds of movies. Particularly ones with French made car chase scenes.
Television:
The Adventures of Pete & Pete, American Dad!, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Clerks, Family Guy, Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, Home Movies, Lost, My Name Is Earl, MythBusters, Nip/Tuck, The Office (US), Over There, Robot Chicken, The Shield, The Simpsons, South Park , The Tick (1994), Twin Peaks
Books:
I don't read. But I do listen to audiobooks. Recently, I "read" and loved Steve Martin's Shopgirl. I'm currently working on *actually* reading Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller, and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
COPY AND PASTE THIS TO ADD THE BANNER TO YOUR PAGE:
That certainly is a conundrum. too big for a playpen. To small to help, or to be trusted to listen to the rules "STAY on the porch until daddy is done"...
if by that you mean Dungeons & Dragons, we play every Wed. i really enjoy it - even though my paladin died twice last night... it comes highly recommended by your kind-of-a-dork cousin.
tony! thanks for the comment on my blog, man! glad you're looking forward to the record. word on the street (or rather from itunes....) is that it should be up Monday! woot! anyway, thanks again for the support! by the by, my aim is jackcontemusic, i go online every once in a while. talk to you soon, thanks again!
wanted to let you know we put up a new old song, but it has my friend Jerry on the drums and I on guitar. Should be the first song that loads on the page. You puttin' anything new up soon?
Funniest thing ever.....Elijah has been "playing" guitar hero with Joe for over a year now, really just pretending to play. But he just figured out today the actual concept of stroking the bar when he hits the button. We were so proud of him! Until Joe realized that Elijah will very quickly get better than him. Elijah's not aloud to play anymore :(
