TOFFEE SUNDAY SMASH is a weekly one hour podcast/radio show celebrating late 1960s UK underground pop and psychedelic music. It can be listened to online or downloaded onto a portable device and taken to the shops with you just in case you have a hankering for some Mike Stuart Span while you're choosing your clementines.
Named as a homage to the pioneering 1980s fanzine, the show hopes to delve into the weird, wide-eyed and wonderful world of bands like Kaleidoscope, Timebox, Blossom Toes, Tomorrow, The Mirage, Turquoise and their glorious ilk. We may love The Beatles and The Floyd but you won’t hear them here.
Each show will feature regular spots including a spotlight album, a classic double-header single and a look back at the releases this month in years gone by.
We’re also at www.myspace.com/toffeesundaysmash where we’ll post regular bulletins with playlists and what’s happening on the show.
So whether you’re at home, on a train or flying through a lemonade sky on the back of a giant butterfly, close your eyes and dig the pretty colours...
hes my lover and hes looking for a record label and /or radio play..so spread the word please! thanks a ton!!!:-) www.myspace.com/danfrostman much love and peace
There is an international flavour to our next date with the fuzz. From Leicester ride The Junipers, bringing expertly crafted pop-sike to melt your heart and soothe your mind. In support are Funny Dunny from the south of Italy, who play revved-up garage-punk to make you dance and scream, and finally Londoners Thee Landells provide us with hypnotic blasts of understated punkadelica.
You’re in for a treat with the guest DJs - vinyl obsessive Jens (aka Wickerman) comes from deepest Sweden to freak you out on the dancefloor, whilst Sardinian and Caper Story bassist Claudio supplies the blue-eyed soul and eurobeat goodness.
Just stopping by to say hello and give you some news. The new album 'Coolgilly and the Freakshow' from Centascope is now available worldwide from CD Baby and directly from the merchandise page of the official website. You can also get the album from Apple iTunes, MSN Music, Rhapsody, Napster, Amazon and many more.

Drop me an email to press@wpkn.org so I can get in touch with you. We're working on a benefit here for our station with Electric Prunes, Sky Saxon and some ex-LOVE members. It should take place this August. Lets stay in touch. I've been enjoying your podcasts. If you care to hear my show it's on live365 under RADIO BASE CAMP
Have a groovy weekend with a lots of smiles and great music for feeding your soul/music is life/music is love!yeah! much love and peace from cold and rainy germany!
To kick off the year we have another gang from Glasgow in town. This time it is the turn of The Hidden Masters and their blissed-out ‘66 sound. But there’s more, much more on offer! Londoners The See See play harmonic, tough folk-rock - the sort that impressed Jack White enough to have them support The Raconteurs recently! Finally on the live front TAG welcomes newbies The Caper Story, the multi-national groove machine soon set to change your life forever!
On the decks this month are our good friends Yvonne McKeown and Uygar. Expect fuzz and dancing aplenty, now til the later time of 3am!!
