Miss Chris's Interests
|
| General | My baby girl, lost domestic arts, board games, my animal friends, vegan food, swimming, singing little songs, philosophy, camping with the Tent-a-cools, wide open spaces, hunting for treasure, learning new things, my pretty red guitar that I can't play, cute stuff. I like to make cupcakes.
| | Music | A little of this & a little of that- Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Paul Simon, LeTigre, Patsy Cline, OKGO, Polyphonic Spree, Call and Response, Sigur Ros, Damien Rice, White Stripes, Lyle Lovett, Moby, Guns n Roses, Matt Costa, Decemberists, Dressy Bessy, Modest Mouse, Ditty Bops, The Be Good Tanyas, and those other bands that I can never remember the names of... | | Movies | Henry and June, About a Boy, The Big Lebowski, , Lost in Translation, Gas Food Lodging, Romancing the Stone, LA Story, Goonies, The Professional, The Matrix, Totoro, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine | | Television | The Daily Show is worth getting cable, and so is The L Word (actually the L Word is getting kind of sucky and annoying these days. What happened?), and Weeds (even though I met that actress when I lived in NY and she was a total bitch, the show is good folks.)and Project Runway. Ok I watch ANTM too. I am not ashamed. I'm really getting in to Big Love these days. | | Books | Hey you know what was good? Early Bird, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Harry Potter, Rain of Gold, Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman, The Tripod Trilogy, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, The Phantom Tollbooth, Books by Dave Barry, Isaac Asimov, Nick Hornby, Paulo Coelo & Barbara Kingsolver. Several books on philosophy, art, feminism, vegan cooking, vintage etiquette and fashion. I love old magazines from the 50's, 60's and 70's especially Seventeen. I've also been known to indulge in "chick lit". Sometimes I do tend to judge a book by it's cover. | | Heroes | |

Miss Chris's Blurbs |
About me:
I have high expectations. It's a blessing and a curse.
|
Who I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet-
artists that make interesting and original art,
people that are not artists but are interesting and original,
someone who can teach me how to play the guitar,
people that care about more things than just music,
vegetarians and vegans that don't think they are better than everyone else,
people that believe in something, know how to enjoy themselves and others, people that are kind and generous and thoughtful.
