TOF was formed in 1998, the line -up consists of 2 permanent members who had never picked up a guitar before, and with lots of pain and perserverance, managed to learn the basic 3 chords , much to the annoyance of the neighbours and spouses.
After Numerous attempts to learn to play Covers we gave up and decided to try to write our own material, using very basic recording techniques which were available to us at the time (VHS HI-FI Tape and 2 Track Cassette )
We had very little money to buy anything better, and proceeded to record our first Album.
With very little knowledge,of how to record and mix our tracks, it was a very steep learning curve for us, this is reflected in the noticeable lack of production on our first Album entitled "WINGS OF FREEDOM"
Having taken approx 3 years to finish the first album and with the advent of Home Recording on computers , we moved on to our second album, again production not great but much improvement over the first album , plus our recording techniques and mixing capabilities were improving.
The content of the second Album entitled "PROPHECY" is conceptual and spawned the track "Age of Darkness" this album features several guest musicians Inc...Mark (Acoustic Guitar on 2 Tracks )..Ken (Bass on 2 Tracks )
and Alan Bond ( Drums on 1 Track )..
A huge Thank You to all that contributed
We are presently working on our third Album as yet Untitled, and have just set up our Web Site ... www.tofwings.co.uk
If you decide to listen to our music and like what you hear , let us know,we would love to hear from you, and would appreciate any comments you may have ( good or bad )

Thank you so much Justin & Brian for sending your C.D.'s to be given as raffle-prizes at the Red Cross gig the other night. It was a really fun night and a good deal of money was raised and 2 lucky souls are most likely telling everyone how great your stuff is right now! Shame you couldn't make it, but next time eh :-) Love, Sara x
Haha, all is well down 'ere mate, not much surf happening at the mo but we wait patiently. Sorta at a bit of a crossroads with music recently...blues or death metal??? Metal and death don't bode well considering my age, unless of course my titanium hip transplant is granted in which case I'm off to buy me some mega heavy duty strings and a hearing aid.
Hope you guys are well and dandy...just off to wax down me new hemp covered surfboard...don't ask!! hahahaha
Hi guys, just to let you know we've got a few gigs coming up around the area in May, including the Lamp Tavern and the Varsity in Wolverhampton so it would be great to see you there. What do you reckon?
