WHITE CRANE KUNG FU is one of China's more varied and unusual
schools of Kung Fu. Its main characteristics combine strength and flexibility. This southern style has five main forms.
Leaping Crane - Stretching and leaping with speed and prowess.
Flying Crane - Coordination of strength and flexibility with swift movements and
body awareness.
Calling Crane - Strong and powerful voice with energy and concentration; when
combined, power is released
Resting Crane - Rest to conserve strength and to intercept forthcoming attacks
Feeding Crane - Highly combative style; aggressiveness and vigor to initiate combat
By combining strength with flexibility, White Crane is able to turn the force of the opponent to ones advantage or neutralize the force of the opponent and attack with power. The White Crane Style combines the use of fists, palms, fingers, legs, and elbow in a variety of movements to increase ones strength, flexibility, coordination and self-defense techniques.

About me: Toisan White Crane is a unique Southern style of Kung Fu that utilizes both long and short range fist.
White Crane Kung Fu is highly deceptive as the crane can change direction in an instant and turn an offensive strike into a defensive block or vice versa. The crane often draws his opponent inward, feigning retreat, then attacks with continuous and agressive strikes.
Toisan White Crane Fists are without recoil-Toisan White Crane style combines a total of 9 fists divided into sets of 3. Each set of 3 lays the foundation and groundwork for the main forms. Each main form has many forms within, each utilizing variations of the fist sets. See Chuin Pow Kup The Crane Claw (Jow) is used for grasping, by targeting the opponent's pressure points in a similar manner as the Eagle claw.
White Crane Kung Fu focuses on health--with strong emphasis on total body and mind. Smooth and flowing movements allow for good circulation of blood and Qi, while allowing the lungs to expand and contract more naturally. The techniques used mitigate impact on joints while strengthening ligaments, muscles and tendons. Master Zhu's knowledge of medicine and physiology has been an important factor in his understanding of this art and its effects on his students' unique body types. His medicinal expertise has allowed him to customize exercises for various individuals.
Who I'd like to meet: Master Zhu is an internationally recognized martial artist who began his studies at age seven. His studies included Nan Chuan (Southern Boxing), Five Animal Form, Hung Gar, Choi Li Fut, Tai Chi, and Taoist He Jia Chuan. In 1962, Master Zhu won the youth level all around excellence award at the Chinese Southern Regional Martial Arts Championship. That same year he began his Qigong training. He learned to break hard stones with his palm, split stone slabs with his head, snap steel wires wrapped around his body, bend steel bars, and resist sword and long dagger with his throat.
In 1963, at age 14, he studied White Crane Kung Fu with a well known martial arts master. In over 45 years of practice, he has won top honors in numerous Chinese Regional and National Championships. Master Zhu is a Chinese Martial Arts Master, a Qiqong Master, and a Chinese medicine practitioner.
In addition to teaching White Crane Kung Fu, Master Zhu is available for Chinese medicine consultations, martial arts demonstrations, lion dance, workshops and speaking engagements.
