Inspired by the likes of dEUS, the Pixies, Mono (NL), the Strokes and the Mars Volta brothers Lal and Stefan decided to form a band in early spring of 2006, just to do what they enjoy and do best: making music. They asked their friends Christine and Ruud to be their rhythm section and Tokyo-A-GoGo! was a given fact. Stefan’s sharp guitar riffs combined with Lal’s surprising vocals, Christine’s counterpoint and melodic bass lines and Ruud’s energetic drums go together remarkably well and create an adventurous and fresh mix of indie, pop and just a hint of wave. Together they make exciting songs with enough edge but which are also simply great to listen to. Early 2007 Tokyo-A-GoGo! release their first demo Wrapped in Paper showing the world what they have to offer.

Met je hoofd op een cd-hoes van GPZH winnaar St. Polaroid Singer/songwriter St. Polaroid heeft dit jaar met de Grote prijs van Zuid-Holland de 1e prijs en de publieksprijs in de wacht gesleept. Dit heeft hem zo blij gemaakt dat hij spontaan een aantal nieuwe liedjes heeft geschreven.
Komende maanden duikt hij de studio in om een nieuwe EP op te nemen. Deze luistert naar de titel: “Most people are other people”. Uiteraard wordt er inmiddels alweer zorgvuldig aandacht besteed aan het artwork. En hierbij is jouw hulp is hard nodig!
