The Tokyo Five operate on the fringes of the Perth music scene. Formed several years ago from the remnants of several other more obscure bands, they have been toiling away in rehearsal sheds knocking up their version of unpopular pop music. They currently hold the Australian record for the most successive weekends without a gig. They have now set their goal on most number of weeks without a rehearsal. In a recent interview with themselves, they also revealed a desire to play a show where they dont know the 5 people in the audience. However, the band strongly deny this.
