The Tokyo Flash Band's creator is Ray Brown (Tokyo Flash), former keyboard player for Ecstasy, Passion & Pain and the legendary Jimmy Castor Bunch. He blends his love for jazz with his passion for rhythm and blues to create a fascinating musical landscape that keeps you tapping your feet while you listen to imaginative melodies and improvisations which are truly a treat for the ears.
The band's music has been hailed as creative, funky and entertaining by the more than 205,000 fans and 6,000 comments they have attracted via their www.myspace.com/thetokyoflashband
website. Their original music is written by the band members and arranged by Ray Brown and Ray Naccari.
Ray Naccari is a master keyboardist and engineer and has been an arranger and producer for artists such as Bob Marley, Shania Twain and Roger Case. He has shared the stage with B.T. Express, Gloria Gaynor, BJ Crosby, Jennifer Holliday and many others.
The addition of the wonderfully talented Dakota MacLeod, with her emotional as well as gutsy vocals has lifted the band to a higher level of musicality and performance. Dakota starred with the BBC Orchestra in London in a production entitled "The Gospel According To Broadway" which also included The London Community Choir, The Harlem Gospel Ensemble (featuring Dakota MacLeod), and the Michael Terry Singers.
