we got this really cool email the other day, just thought we would share it...
The lights dimmed down.. It went kind of red. A violin? Feedback. Shards
and shards.Slowly building into a beautiful structure. Damaged, but in perfection like
any real person.. "YOUR ON MY LIST! I MADE A LIST!" .. Everyone plugs their
ears - but not me.
I was learning. I hadn't heard anything so beautiful in my life. I didn't
know what noise music was. Hell, I didn't know experimental music. I didn't
think the envelope would bend so far. But, now I am learned and slowly
constructing a beautiful structure of my own, using music as an engine. I
occasionally typed "The Thrill of Lethargy" into any search engine - but came up
completely dry. Today, I looked up The Spheres remembering that they were on after
you
at that same fateful show. Today, I found your website. I saw a picture of
that same guy with the red hair and beard that I had talked to at my first
concert.. Thank you, as you have both changed my life.

hey check out a sick show on 9/28!!! what else is better on a Monday then going to the Funhouse and see Slicing Grandpa feat OVERDOSE THE KATATONIC Penetration Camp Arbitron 9:30 5$
SUPPORT THE SICK SOUNDS OF SOME PRIME KILLER SEATTLE BANDS!!!!! BE THERE OR BE DEAD,FUCKERS!!!
9/15 Is that the booze explosion show finally happening?? I remember when magic magicians were playing a dead Graceland show and someone kept yelling Pussy!!! I lived here for a couple years, and sure enough (later i realized) it was a clean shaven Spencer gets invited on stage and does a country cover i believe of "Ladybird". Just so happens i was audio recording that show. Kind of like going to the Funday Monday to see Dead Low Tide w/ Pleasure Forever opening up. I never even realized what the hype on DLT was. That bar was packed, and next to me during PF set Spencer was guzzling (i think) red stripes next to me the whole time, then soon as DLT was set up Spence goes to the mic and i believe Navy Buttons was played first so fucking loud and from then on i was addicted. TOLSATD i remember the free demo w/ the genie cover, and after the Sunset show (1st Triumph show in a bar , the best hand over fist ever performed) 2 days later on a Sunday 8/3/03 (i believe) u played Graceland and had like polo shirts w/ TOLSATD painted on em. I still have a few. You should play "gossled" for the old school cats who remember. Sorry i missed cairo, i got Spencer there solo, but its a block away from me and figured it was gonna be hard to fit. Was it, to anyone that was there?? Last show i saw was Tractor Tavern, Corey was bugging out an so was Spencer. Sick version of Jane , Sweater , and the Huggy Bear cover was so sick, and it wasen't the kiss cover. The more brutal one. Anyways you guys ruled since u started!!!! I'll drop a video off of some stuff and audio at Anne Bonney. Also Smoke & Smoke was killer for those who got to see it...You guys made it playing everything you want, and lmk when the Hemmingway tape is out. Jim Katatonic

we just saw that it's been a year ago since we had the chance to play with you at King Cobra. that has to be one of the funnest shows we have ever played for many reasons. thanks for the great music and memories.
Hello! You guys and gal are amazing!!! I've been listening to you for two days straight. I can't get enough. Spencer, you blew my mind at Sasquatch this year with the devils, and since then I've changed my whole out look on stage presence. I hope I can make it out for a show. Or maybe you could make it out to Spokane. Well, hope you enjoy my tunes. Thanks for everything! -Cole()sis
I take it all back...Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death is the greatest band in the United States and Spencer Moody is even better on guitar than Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaghn!
Because I love spencer! I think he is one of the greatest front-mans in the history of rock-n-roll but i think he sucks on the guitar. It's just my opinion, I'm more into murder city than the experimental stuff you guys do. I guess dylan got called judas when he decided to plug in his guitar!
