Richard Miles and Dave Tribe have worked together for many, many years. They show no sign of stopping. Currently they are known as Tomas Hiltz. It is not clear why they do this.
Both work primarily with electric stringed instruments and then explore and corrupt the sounds at their disposal. The aim is for gigantic washes, trickles, sparks. Seeking utopia in sound. Tools, fingers, electronic
devices, effects, loops and anything else to hand are used. Nothing in the room is safe.
In addition to working together as Tomas Hiltz both have had many varied adventures in the worlds of music over the years and continue to
play with astonishing people whenever the chance arises. Richard has played with many people, a lot of which can be found at
www.armchair-astronaut.com. He also produces site specific sound art pieces, video, and paints. David is central to Tics, to be found at www.myspace.com/ticsuk, Carnival Collective
www.myspace.com/carnivalcollective, No No Nos, at www.myspace.com/nononosthebandand and also
www.myspace.com/davetribe as if the others weren't enough!
Tomas Hiltz is from Hamburg in Germany and records eclectic electronica.
Welcome to my space, Tomas. Thank you so much for the add. I like your music, friendship and your site. Stay in touch if you like and have a blessed week. Grtz, John.
