reading, trying to write, and monitoring presidential errors (that takes up a ton of time and energy but, at the end of the day I find it the most rewarding.)
Music
Lets see I just listen to anything that I consider good and listenable. That can mean anything from Miles Davis to Tool to Hank Williams Sr. Lately I've been listening to alot of good Hip-Hop (Common, Mos Def, and the like)
Movies
I like movies that are based on things that can actually happen meaning I don't like a lot of science fiction or alien movies with very few exceptions but I generally prefer comedies where you have to think about to get the jokes
Television
Hands down the funniest show of all forever is Flavor of Love I cant wait for the second season that and Law and Order: Criminal Intent, I admit I have a strange array of interests
Books
I love anything by Chuck Palahniuk or Hunter S. Thompson especially his last book "Hey Rube" which said alot of unkind things about the man who would later become one of the reasons that he shot himself dead...George W. Bush, an idea that I can sometimes relate too.
Heroes
Hunter S. Thompson for not only writing and helping to expose political bullshit since the 60's but for being able to help get the youth vote noticed by politicians (even though not many of us use it.) Oh, and these guys for obvious reasons, the genius that matched the teletubbies and the wassup guys, adam sarolla for handling the interview like a champ (check out an audio clip of his interview w/ ann coulter it just might make him your hero), steve-o for taking liberties with an open bar, and last but certainly not least the brave americans who had the courage of conviction to try and "pie" Ann "the queen of mean" Coulter As a victim of a tragic politically polarizing event (the iraqi freedom festival) I welcome the opportunity to debate any issue her pointy head can conjure up

tomas, Your Karmic Alignment is: Zen Intuition!
Score: 16 You have a direct perception of truth. You are very keen and don't use it to take advantage. When you commit positive deeds, you don't do them to get ahead, you do positive deeds simply because it makes you feel good. Your intentions are almost always meant well and all this positive karmaic energy is bound to come back to you in a great way!
Who I'd like to meet: The President because I want to play a quiz game with him so I can say I'm smarter than a world leader, and then tremble in fear at that very same thing. Ann Coulter because she says she cant argue with a victim's opinion and I'm a victim with an opinion and I love to argue.
Tomas, thank you for making such an impact on our community with your visit during SXSW. Music March for Heroes was founded because of your inspiration. Everything we do is in your honor - THANK YOU!
hey tomas havent seen the film yet but definitely want to been spending some time advocating for cindy sheehan via myspace and email
hope all is well
heres something i just sent to cindy sheehan concerning the latest iraq funding - maybe you agree
looks like there is a gi bill add on within - paul reickoff seems to glad about that
has any member of congress ever wrote a bill that would fund bringing the troops home instead of just funding them while they were there - proactive thinking - something the republicans seem to be good at when it concerns creating chaos and the dems seem terrible at
it occurred to me that we have funding while they are there (most of which is not going to the troops obviously) and then this new one which will also provide more funding once theyre back as well for the gi bill and other things
im sure it would take more than just funding to bring them home but could not a member of congress put the cart before the horse or would pelosi step on the bill before it got anywhere
it seems if they passed a bill that would fund troop removal even if a plan had not been set in place and they got it to the presidents desk or even before members of congress anyone could be accused of not supporting the troops if they did not sign it
obviously this is not a vacation but when you do take one
you plan a trip
you set asside funds for getting there
you set asside funds for while you are there
and you set asside funds for getting back
and then hopefully you still have funds to do what you need to do once you are back home
someone in congress or someone who has knowledge of such matters should estimate what it would cost to get the troops home and put that before the congress and then well see who really supports the troops at every level - im sure my congressman mcdermott would sign a troop funding bill that paid for repatriation (if thats the right word)
