TV Shows
Starstories. Vital Signs. GMTV when I was 13. I was the bloke that putted a golfball in that Barclays Bank advert that was on all the time. I was also in an advert that only my brother ever saw where I had to say 'beer me' to my onscreen flatmate while celebrating that David Beckham had scored in a world cup type scenario.
Films
'Piano for Beginners', directed by Alex Winckler, 'The Amazing Hedge Puzzle', directed by Alex Winckler, 'The one and only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallace Island', directed by James Griffiths, 'What's the point of not being Handsome' directed by J Van Tulleken - all by Me and Tim Key. Also 'Lock In', directed by Emma Lightfoot, by Me and Sam Hodges.
Albums
No. Although, as a Chorister, I did sing on the Mr Blobby song that made Christmas number one, and on the follow up album the year after that didn't do so well.
Tom's Interests
General
Comedy, Music, Films, Climbing, Books, Football, Theatre, Cryptic Crosswords, Walking, Cycling, Indian Food, Indian Lager, Italian Food, Italian, Italy, Hats, Stuffed Animals, Medals, Wine.
Music
Pretty much what you'd expect for a white/middle-class/home counties boy - smiths, joy division, neil young, elvis costello, leonard cohen - you get the idea. Listen to Red House Painters if you have a similar taste to me - you'll probably like them. They get massively overlooked because of having a name that's too close to the topless shitstorm of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Movies
What's the one about the guy trying to get redeemed from Shawshank Prison? I like that one
Television
I like some of it, I just never find the time to watch it. Programmes I've never seen include - Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Entourage, Weeds, ER, Spooks, 24, Commander in Chief, Desperate Housewives, Doctor Who, Scrubs, Nathan Barley, Skins, Shameless, The Sopranos, Melrose Place, CSI:Anywhere, Without a Trace, Alias, Hex, Angel, Stargate thingey, The Forsythe Saga, Our Friends in the North, Life on Mars, Vital Signs, Torchwood, Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen
Books
Got a lot of time for books.
Heroes
My Granddad, Mike Leigh [they're not the same person].
About me: I'm 25. I'm OK at the guitar and the piano, to the extent that I can sings some songs. I'm a sagitarrian. I'm a bit worried by the current state of the world. I can drive, but don't have a car. I saw Woody Allen in the street about 3 months ago. I'm a godfather.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who wants to preorder my novel! My Novel is provisionally titled 'Hot Moon.' I'm currently waiting to hear back from publishers, but in the meantime, I'm trying to generate interest in it on myspace.
Keep checking this section, because chapters from my novel are being uploaded all the time.
This is from Chapter 15 - Liz's flat revisited.
This is from Chapter 3 - Cafe Rouge.
This is from Chapter 23 - Sex scene between Owen and Rose.
This is from Chapter 11 - The Brannigan Papers.
Hi, thanks for adding me, I look like a bit less of a loser now.
I'm a bit confused, I took the whole 'novel' thing as a joke but everyone on here is asking where they can get it... Please tell me, is it me being dense, or the rest of the world? Hmmm...
Take care x
For any of you that have been living in a cupboard for the last 2 weeks, you won"t know that a campaign has started to get "Machadaynu" released up against the X-Factor this coming Christmas...
If you haven"t already, please sign the petition to the BBC to get it released.
I just got word that I'll be performing in your area at the end of March, Bunnell, Spring Hill that's around you isn't it? This is my invite to you to come out and come drinkin.
I've never come through this area before but I always have a good time performing in Florida, friendly outgoing people who definately know how to have fun.
I hope you can make it, keep in touch, and thanks again for your friendship.
hi tom and thanks for the add. didn't you play my leading man 'wolf' in edinburgh? the novel sounds really interesting - when can we get our hands on it? x
Hey dude its gaz here, guys lill bro. Met you up in his house party he had a long time back. saw you on t.v last night. Was quite surprised so thought i'd say hey. Well done sir.
I just updated my "Top Friends". You are now my number one friend. This is due to your reaction when you found out you weren't one of my top friends. Let's just hope Henrik Elmar deals with the new status quo with a little more maturity.
My latest project... Vote for your favourite band and try and prevent the inevitable Stones v Beatles show down... http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/musicclub/battleofthebands_home.shtml
Hey Tom - I think I know the advert. Do you hunch down near the end (when the golf ball goes into the screen on the monitor)? If so it's terrific. And on ALL the time!
