Stage:
My live band is comprised from a pool of the area's best polka
musicians, such as Bob Breuer, Dan Tutsch, Ron VanDenboom, Mike
McIntyre, David Austin, Billy Micale, and Gary Hendrickson.
Studio: I perform
almost all of the instruments on my recordings (mainly accordion,
drums, bass guitar, tuba, piano, and vocals) but always employ the
instrumental and vocal talents of other musicians to give my recordings personality and style.

Pecon, Vadnal, Rodick, Klancnik, Miskulin, Yankovic, et al.
Sounds Like
We are influenced by so many great bands and musicians, but we sound like the Tom Brusky Band and no one else.
We're a versatile polka/variety ensemble comprised of talented, award-winning musicians. Our primary sound focuses on Slovenian and Cleveland-style polkas and waltzes, although, when
appropriate, we broaden our music sets to include popular
standards, classic country, Latin-American, foxtrots, two-steps, swing,
and Christmas holiday music... catering to several generations of music
lovers. Our band has amassed a staggering repertoire of over five
hundred songs, all of which we play by ear.
Based in
Milwaukee, we play locally but also travel to wherever our music is desired. We’ve entertained crowds from ten to a thousand--from next door neighbors to United States presidents.
Everyone’s
entertainment needs and budgets are different, so I will tailor the
size and volume of my band to suit any occasion. We'll perform as a
two- or three-piece combo for smaller or more intimate settings, and as
a four- or five-piece band for festivals and other venues where the
widest variety of music is desired.
NEW FOR 2009: To better accommodate all of the requests we receive to play for private parties, we've made the decision to significantly cut back our public performance schedule. After playing Southeastern Wisconsin's club circuit for many years with much success, we want to give other bands the opportunity to play those venues while we focus on providing quality music for private occasions and other special events.

"Nazis aus dem Takt bringen" - Votet für "Die Fischer" - Eure Stimme gegen Rechts
Moin Moin liebe Freunde und Fans von „Die Fischer“,
mehr als 300 Bands haben in der letzten Woche ihren Hut beziehungsweise ihr Lied auf MySpace für "Nazis aus dem Takt bringen" in den Ring geworfen. Die Jury hat die zehn besten ausgesucht. Die Jury hat es sich nicht leicht gemacht. Aus der Vielzahl der vorgeschlagen Lieder musste sie die zehn auswählen, die die Nazis am besten aus dem Takt bringen. Darunter auch unser Song "Herr Hermann Mann".
Alle 10 Gewinnersongs werden auf einer gemeinsamen CD veröffentlicht.
Aber es kommt noch besser: Bis zum 10. Juli kann auf http://www.myspace.com/myspacebandradar unter den zehn Finalisten für die besten drei Songs gevotet werden. Die ersten drei gewinnen zusätzlich zur CD-Veröffentlichung einen Auftritt beim großen „Nazis-aus-dem-Takt-bringen“-Abschlusskonzert, welches im September in Berlin stattfindet.
Gevotet kann natürlich nur mit einem Myspace-Account. Ob man nur einmal oder täglich voten kann, ist unklar, aber das kennen wir ja auch nicht anders. ;-)
