My name is Tom Chivers. Born 1983, London. I'm a poet, editor and live literature producer. My creative work has been published in lots of magazines and a couple of anthologies. Reviews and articles have appeared in Poetry London, Arts Professional, Poetry News and Culture Wars. I'm Associate Associate Editor of Tears in the Fence, and was the first ever Poet in Residence at Bishopsgate Institute. I've appeared on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Four and Resonance FM.
My publications include The Terrors (Nine Arches Press, 2009) and my full first collection How To Build A City (Salt Publishing, 2009). I also edited Generation Txt and City State: New London Poetry (Penned in the Margins, 2006 & 2009).
I am the founder and director of live literature producer Penned in the Margins, as well as co-director of London Word Festival.
