Sounds Like
".....Richard Thompson with the lyrical sensibilities of Loudon Wainwright. I'm also reminded of John Prine and Boo Hewerdine. "In Your Own Words" and "The One That Got Away" are classics of their genre, akin to Thompson's "Beeswing" "
Rock'N'Reel/R2, Sept/Oct 2009
"......the same smart balance of humour and seriousness that gave Tom Waits, John Prine and Randy Newman their legendary status."

".....humour and wry observation that will warm the hearts of more than a few."
Songbook, July 2006
I write songs about: People, their emotions, attitudes and episodes in their lives.
I do not write songs about: My soul in torment.
Over the last ten years I have recorded 3 CDs, played gigs with the likes of Clive Gregson, Jez Lowe, Hank Wangford, The Arlenes, Kirsty McGee, Pete Morton and Rory MacLeod, all over the South and South-East (and beyond). Probably my most treasured momento of any of them is the Certificate of Marriage and Divorce I was presented with by Hank Wangford.
Thank you for accepting my request. Love the new song you played. You're so right, what's the point of having a nice guitar if you don't play it. I end up lending mine out just to make sure they get played. Hope to hear you play again soon. X
Love your tunes and your ode to the collecting of guitars and dust last night was magic. I don't really collect guitars but I do collect robots and I never ever dust. Almost the same thing in a completely different way. Hope to catch you again soon, Reb :)
Hello Mr Conway, congratulations on a blinding performance the other night. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Thanks again for playing (and taking my requests!) x
Hey Tom, great to meet you and Joe the other night. Really enjoyed your songs.
Might come and catch you in one of your gigs.. and hopefully you'll play my favourite song again - "just another stab at, just another stab, just another stab at my heart!" its been in my head since Monday.
Well, I am spreading the word here in the states, about you. Don't let my brother influence you too much, he is jealous that he was never able to play the jug like me......
