I'm an electric/acoustic uprite bassist currently living in Nashville, Tn. I relocated to Nashville ( from NY) about 4 years ago and it's easy to see why so many guys sort of re-start their careers here in Nashville. Some of the best musicians I've ever worked with and heard, live here. It's definatley the place to "kick ass and get your ass kicked" so it's been a great learning/networking experience.
I've been doing some tour stuff as well as sessions around town. The most current ( and among the most enjoyable ) has been working for singer/songwriter Steve Azar. We have been on the 2006/07 Bob Seger "Face the Promise" tour since early November and will be touring with Seger until late March 2007.
The shows have been outstanding and Seger's folks have been a blast to work with. Some show highlights have been the Detroit concerts at The Palace (Segers hometown) Madison Square Garden in NYC ( my hometown) and pretty much every night when we get to hear Seger and The Silver Bullet Band perform. In addition to touring with Steve, I also played bass on his upcoming album "Indianola" including the single from that album titled "You Don't Know a Thing".
I've also had the pleasure of performing/recording with Johnny Hiland, Don Ellis, Michelle Cupit, Holly Reece, Carlton Collins, Peter Collins, Chad Wilson, Memarie, Brad and Shelly, The Utica, Saratoga, Albany and Palm Beach Symphony Orchestras as well as others. I have also played bass on commercial jingles such as Harley Davidson, Lithia Motors, Exxon Mobiles "On the Run" the soundtrack to the upcoming film "Americanizing Shelly" and the TV documentary "Second Crossing-The Story of the Mississippi Bridge".
Yes, lets! I'm workin on somethin. I'm just sick of recording anywhere I gotta pay. I've been doin everything at the home studio in Ill. I'll have to fill ya in soon.
Hey Tom... I'm looking forward to working with you and the rest of the players you've assembled for my "solo" project. This myspace page is my band page... I haven't set up a page for my solo project yet... but I manage this page as well.
Hey T I just thought I would stop in and say hi and hope all is good in your world. I have been busy remodeling my home and then on top of that having computer issues. I hope that is solved now. I have decided to take the rest of the week off to hang by the water. Hope you have a great weekend.
Hi Tom, Hope you and yours are well. NY is in for an extreme heat wave this weekend. Is your Dad recovering nicely? I hope your Mom gets a break because I'm sure she is doting on him and taking care of him like the best wife in the world. God Bless them. XOXOXONow I'm off to straighten the MESS of my life, oh well, it happens sometimes! I'm strong and ex has no idea just how much I love the challenge of becoming stronger. Anyway, maybe I'll fill you in, if you ever want to know. You're a good man and tell your wife that!Hahahah
Hey man! Haven't talked to you in a while. Just checking to see how things were with you and yours. Hope all is well. Still working on that move to Nashville here. I think it will all happen here very soon. Wish me luck! Talk soon! Tom
