Conceived in early 2005, To-Mera came into the world with a simple mission statement: to push the artform of contemporary progressive metal forwards. By drawing upon a wide array of influences from across the musical spectrum, To-Mera have concocted a unique blend of forward-thinking metal.
Their first album, "Transcendental", was released in 2006 by Candlelight Records, and was hailed as a bold musical statement by the mainstream musical press. Such critical acclaim led to the band securing support slots with the likes of Emperor, Dream Theater and Fates Warning.
Not content to rest on their laurels, To-Mera return in 2008 with their second progressive metal masterpiece "Delusions", which sees their musical flair and inventiveness reach new heights. With a new, enhanced lineup, this year the band has so far toured Spain with Ebony Ark and supported Pain of Salvation in Budapest to rapturous responses.

"Delusions will baffle, excite and enthral you. To these ears it's the album of the year so far" Geoff Barton, Classic Rock, 8/10
"The question isn't whether To-Mera is good enough to be considered one of the best acts in the world today. No, the question is, is your mind large enough to actively take it all in enough to grasp the beauty and sheer skill of what To-Mera has to offer?" heathenharvest.com
"Delusions is a cacophony of collusion, an orgy of genre that keeps the listener enthralled" Louise Brown, Terrorizer, 8.5/10
"A masterful display at capturing progressive metal’s finest elements while discovering uniqueness unlike any other band imaginable" - metal-archives.com
"More focused, calculated, varied and yes, even more progressive, "Delusions" takes the art of intelligent genre-hopping to a brand new level. " - blabbermouth.net
"TO-MERA is an elite member of that rare breed that still embodies the very soul of what it means to be progressive, to move forward and pursue the less traveled paths that lead to true innovation and evolution of song structuring, style fluctuation and the honest ambition to craft something engagingly unique." - metaleater.com
"You name the prog and/or metal convention, and the odds are good that To-Mera has unconventionally brought the beast to bay, tied it up with a mic chord, and are prepared to bring the corpus delecti to slaughter." - thatdevilmusic.com

Vetr is the personified Season of Winter
In the stanza 26 of the Poetic Edda poem Vafþrúðnismál, the god Odin (disguised as "Gagnráðr") asks the jötunn Vafþrúðnir from where warm Sumarr and Vetr come from, stating that they arrived "first among the Wise powers". In stanza 27, Vafþrúðnir responds:
Vindsvalr he is called, Vetr's father, and Svásuðr, the father of Sumarr.
And both of these shall ever be Till the gods to destruction go.
