RADIO REVIEWS for Then Went the Demons: “A wonderful piece of music that channels its message well. Very well produced and performed.” -Tony Bates, Highlands 100.7FM (Australia) “Our listeners had good reactions to the songs. In a few days we will put the FULL ALBUM on our playlists.” -Erik Vande Voorde, Radio Beiaard (Belgium) “Rewarding listening... A well-constructed collection of songs. Plenty of radio-friendly material which could bring Tom deserved exposure.” -Vasja Ivanovski, 94.1 FM RADIO (Macedonia) “Enjoyed this CD and the spirit that was evident in all the tracks. Great rhythmic feel throughout (reminiscent of early America, e.g. Horse With No Name).” -Mark Muller, Coast FM (Australia) "Sounds great!" -Matt Rhodes, The FREQ 107 (Pennsylvania, USA)****I've been in the music biz many years... started playing gigs when I was around 15. Writer, performer, session vocalist. Born in the small town of Winona MN, now based in Minneapolis. I've performed thousands of shows in nightclubs, schools, churches, coffee shops, casinos and at private events all over the US and Canada (hit me up for my Canadian Border Patrol story sometime... it's a hoot:) Some highlights of my career: I was a lead vocalist on the 2002 Target Corporation CD "Praise & Worship Christmas" which sold 32,000 copies; provided original soundtrack music for the film Staring at Headlights; have written music for Second City Theater in Chicago; appeared on the Fox network TV show "America's Most Wanted" ...no, it's not what you think!! My band was playing in a nightclub in Montana where they were filming an episode, so we were the house band in the scene; my music has been featured on Minneapolis' KARE-11 TV morning news broadcast; had a recent writeup in the MN Christian Chronicle magazine; have appeared 2 times at Sonshine, a huge 3-day Christian music festival, where I've gotten to hang out with some of my favorite christian artists like David Crowder, Jeremy Camp and Casting Crowns.
I've appeared several times at Club 3 Degrees and the Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown Minneapolis, and perform annually at the MN State Fair in the Crossroads Chapel. I have been a guest worship leader at several churches and events. I'm gigging mostly around the Midwest these days, either as a solo artist, a duo, a trio, or with a full band, depending on the venue. I've released 2 solo CD's: "Everybody & Their Brother" (2002) and "Then Went the Demons" (2006). I've gotten airplay on nearly 90 radio stations in the US and around the world, which is pretty cool, although it hasn't changed my life:) I was formerly signed with Above Records/Los Angeles, but am now independent.
Style? "Christian-flavored folk/rock" probably comes close. My music is available through most major online music retailers, such as iTunes, BestBuy.com, Barnes&Noble.com, CDBaby.com, Amazon.com etc. as well as all Minneapolis area Cheapo Music stores.
