About Tom Hood and The Trailmen
View Tom Hood & The Trailmen's EPK
View Tom Hood & The Trailmen's EPK If you have been craving some country rooted rock these days then "Dust In Your Hands" by Tom Hood and The Trailmen might be right up your alley. Their lineup of songs sets them apart from most rock acts with the addition of fiddle and mandolin both of which are well blended in the mix. Hood takes on the song "Caught In The Rain" with a very inspired Johnny Cash influence making for a great crossover tune. One of the standout tracks is "Back To The Baja" which features some nice lead guitar work and a bouncy groove that could be heard on any Jimmy Buffett or Traveling Wilburys album. Don't expect any classic style cowboy tunes on "Dust In Your Hands" because it's sheer rock/country entertainment. -Shaun and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team After a year of live gigs supporting the release of our first CD "Riding Into Town" the band was ready to record our followup CD. "Dust In Your Hands" contains 9 new songs written by myself along with Paul Carden and Ken Williams. I think you will hear a maturity to the sound that came from our live shows and crowd feedback. The CD featues new players Caitlin Durney on Fiddle, Todd Grossman on Mandolin and Rodney Harris on Drums. Veteran Trailmen returning to duty are John Brzoza on Lead Guitar and Paul Gilmore on Bass Tom Hood is a singer songwriter that has been on the music scene in New York for over 20 years. He has been in numerous original bands including The Empty Suits (1980 -1996 NYC), Raw Edge (1987-1991) Dirty Water Dogs (1993-94), PC & The Hood (1997-99), Lex & The Hood (1999-2002), The Unknown Gentlemen (2000 - 2005). Joining Tom on his 2008 CD "Riding into Town" are The Trailmen....John Brzoza, Guitar...Tom Peterson, Drums..Paul Gilmore , Bass.

Hey Fellers,  good to see you on Myspace.
You guys sounded great @ the Sean Hannity show.
I think I lost 15 pounds in water weight that day.

Let us know next time you're down our way,
maybe we could do a gig.

Keep it moving...

Howdy from the Big Sky Country, Montana!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We've a LOT of snow, here in the Bitterroot Valley. I love it, though.

I have put up a new song: 'Sunday Afternoon' - when you have a moment, come by for a listen and comment. Thanks!

I have to say, I am very excited and quite humbled to have been named "Volunteer Of The Year" by U.N.A.Y.O., (United North Amityville Youth Org) for my work with their youth and also their Girl Scout Program.
U.N.A.Y.O is a WONDERFUL youth center that offers a lot of programs for the youth in our area from tutorials and school extra help to summer programs, karate, dance, Girl Scouts from Daisies to the Senior Level, Leadership and Cultural Studies, just to name a few. They do receive some financial aide from the County and State level but believe it or not, they LOST funding last year because they were too successful with their programs so the funding went to other less successful centers. (Oh how I LOVE modern politics as you all know by now.) They also need donations on the private level to help their programs continue.
U.N.A.Y.O. is planning an awards dinner on Saturday, Sept. 27th to honor those that have helped make a difference during the past year and those nutty guys have included me in those being honored.
So how can you help you may ask?? Well, they are putting together a Special Awards Journal for this event which is being published in honor of the center's achievements and to recognize those that share their lives with the youth of U.N.A.Y.O. They are looking for Advertisement Donations and here's where you come in. For as little as a $5.00 donation you can have a booster line in the journal and for only $10.00, you can have a copy of your business card in it.
Local musicians ... when was the last time your contact info went in anything for just $10.00 AND....100% proceeds go into the youth programs.
You just can't beat that!!!
Businesses, studios, non-profits.....please jump on this wagon!
You can take out a full page ad for only $100.00, 1/2 page for $50.00, 1/4 page for $25.00. Want the inside cover? $150!
And again...100% OF THE PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE YOUTH PROGRAMS!!
Please contact me ASAP with your order! Xx Robin Eve
