tom. ive heard alot about your playing. im friends with the guys from the persistence of memory (dean, bob) and i was interested in getting some lessons. i was taught quite a bit by tony floria, and tony valley...but i kinda went on my own, because i havent found a teacher that is strictly my style (metal), and the way i hear dean and bob play, i just know you could probably be the best out of all of them. let me know some days, and how much it is for the times and stuff. greatly appreciated.

If you are smart, you will take lessons from Tom. If you are not smart, you will spend the rest of your life wondering if his last name is pronounced Ko-pee-dow, or Ko-pie-dow. Cuz i'm not gonna tell you. His last name pronunciation is covered in chapter 4 of his lesson syllabus.

Tom is the kind of guy who shows he is an elite player to the musical world by proving it. There are so many people who say and/or think they are great players, but can't back it up. Tom doesn't say a thing and blows most people out of the water. I'm so glad to have Tom as a teacher, who is patient with me and helps me with my technique, especially since Tom brings so many ideas to the table that I would have never thought of. He has an approach and style to teaching that i've never had from another teacher. He doesnt try to force you down a specific path like a lot of other teachers try to do, instead he lets you choose where it is you want to go musically and he guides you through it, and I would like to personally thank him for that.

Feb 19 2006 1:05 AM

tom i have only been taking lessons with you for about a month and a half and i feel as though i have learned so so much. in my years of playing i have had a lot of teachers but none with the enthusiasm and love of both playing and teaching guitar in this style. whether it be the speed picking legato or the sweep arpeggio stuff its all affected my playing a lot so i appreciate the help man. thanks

later bro,
christian

I am enjoying every bit of have interactive lessons with Tom again. I recommend any guitarist to give his lessons on Music Dojo a try. For new guitarists its not as hard as it sounds.
