So many more non guitar players who are influences too. Too many to list. Oh and my favorite soloist of all time CANNONBALL ADDERLEY!!
I started playing guitar when I was 15. I'm 29 now. I'm a Christian and the purpose of my music is to bring glory to God through a wide range of musical portraits. I've recorded 2 instrumental cds. The newest cd "Never Alone" features Phil Keaggy, Joe Negri, and John Sferra. I'm working on my 3rd cd which will be another instrumental album. I'm just one of the thousands upon thousands of guitar pickers who has something unique to share. Nothing great, nothing bad. It's just music. I love the guitar and I practice an awful lot but I try not to be too guitarified (if that makes any sense). Music is a personal thing and everyone has something unique to offer. Every guitar player or musician has many flaws so we shouldn't think too highly of ourselves. Having said that, I do think that we should feel proud of our music and the growth that comes from being a musician. It's what comes from the heart that counts. I also enjoy playing tennis, racquetball, landscaping, gardening, renting movies, nintendo, and hanging out with friends.
