writing, music, ancient history (and history in general), philosophy, reading, interviewing, talking, finding interesting forgotten places, urban decay, art, playing music, politics, movies, mysticism, religion, making the world a better place a little bit at a time, photography, filmmaking, sound mixing and production, underground comics, understanding people and the world, women, 'zines, Bill Hicks, stand-up comedy in general, documentaries, the occult...a lot of stuff not coming to me now.
Müzik
A lot of stuff that doesn't get played on mainstream radio and some stuff that does. Lately I've been listening mainly to Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, Space Team Electra, XTC, The Human League, Green on Red, Gang of Four, Arab on Radar, The Church, Adam Franklin's projects (Swervedriver, Toshack Highway, Bolts of Melody etc.), Crass, Cephalic Carnage, Mayhem, The Gun Club, Modern Creatures, The VSS, Sonic Youth, Plasticland, Miles Davis, nervesandgel, Portishead, OMD, Wolves in the Throne Room, Stereolab, Whitehouse, Wipers, Cut Copy, Magazine, Comsat Angels, The Sound, The Chameleons, Joy Division, Swans, Death in June, The Cranes, Pulp, The Stooges, Minutemen, Stone Roses and a lot more.
Filmler
Anything that isn't clearly a marketing vehicle and doesn't involve uninspiredly hackneyed premises. I just watched Sunshine for Shady People - the documentary about Arab on Radar.
Televizyon
TV is something I no longer get to watch except when I visit relatives or when I stream Democracy Now ... Since I picked up the 2nd season of Chapelle's Show, I've been watching it on and off. Negrodamus kills me. I've been a big Paul Mooney fan since I was in high school (he always seemed to have more of an edge than many of his contemporaries) but never saw him in much until then. One of the living comedy greats of our time and fairly obscure. And that Charlie Murphy stuff STILL gets me laughing pretty hard because it's just so ridiculous.
Kitaplar
Hardly anyone reads...I read a lot. If you're interested in the books I like, ask. Mostly I read non-fiction. Currently I'm reading Kind of Blue, a book about the recording of the classic album.
Kahramanları

Hakkımda: I am the fly, I am the fly I am the fly, fly in the fly in the ointment. No, not really. Just listen to Wire too much sometimes. I'm a writer, historian, commentator, musician or whatever the hell else you do when you're one of those people who doesn't seem to fit into a world that values specializations over intelligence, knowledge and skills that don't readily fit into a narrow box. If you're in an underground rock band in Denver you might know who I am if we're not already friends or at least acquaintances because I go to over a hundred shows a year and 70% or more are local only. I used to be in the bands Ghost Light, Dark Orchid and Red Glow Aviator and now I'm a member of Tornado Alley and other musical projects with no names as yet. You might run across the 'zines All Need is Music and Under the Mountain and see that most of it is written and edited by some guy who often uses the pictures of other people for his own. You might not care and that's cool too. But if you're my friend you'll probably think I'm an eccentric do-gooder some of the time and a crazy, obsessed malcontent the rest of the time. Or all at once. Human beings are weird--some of us just admit it.
"It's this preoccupation with "who's the most modern" instead of "who's making the most beautiful, human music." [The most beautiful] may very well be the most modern thing as well, but to make just avant-garde the criteria has gotten to be almost a sickness, especially in jazz." - Len Lyons, editor of Down Beat as quoted in Kind of Blue: The Making of the Miles Davis Masterpiece by Ashley Kahn pg. 186 of the hardcover edition. Apply the same logic to all forms of music, literature and art.
? Zombie Apocolypse You are stubborn and headstrong, but your methodical and straightforward nature comes in handy when you are in the middle of a ZOMBIE APOCOLYPSE. Just remember that a little flexibility and paying close attention to your assets will help you a great deal when fighting off hordes of the undead. Don't let the lumbering beasts of terror get you down, with a little determination you can get through anything.
Kimle tanışmak isterim: Critical thinkers not bound purely by linear logic nor entirely opposed to the idea when it's useful, truth seekers and anyone whose heart bleeds for the authentic life.

"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell."
