Hi, my name is Tom, 21 years of age, born in Oxford, grew up in the countryside, studied in Southsea, currently living in a cottage in the depths of the Oxfordshire countryside, its fun. I like nice people that care about things.
So I guess I'd better mention how this all started... basically, my ma had this nylon strung acoustic guitar that she'd been given years ago. She'd swiftly given up trying to learn the Beatles latest hits and the guitar lay unused for about 30 years. One day I picked it up and learnt to play the A, E, G and D chords. I started putting the poems in my journal to music and quite enjoyed it. Next thing I know, I've recorded a demo tape and played my first ever gig in which I had to compete with a soundchecking heavy metal band for attention. I guess I started off playing loud and hard and shouting at the top of my lungs and I still do that, in fact, I still only know the same four chords.
Somehow i've kept going and actually managed to achieve quite a lot. I know i'm not really very good at playing music but I really need an excuse to vent on a regular basis or I wouldn't sleep, that would suck. I like to sing about things that I think are important, I like to root everything in my day to day life, its more believable that way. Most of all, I like to sing with the hope that maybe I can make someone, somewhere, feel like they aren't the only one going crazy.
I just released an album, its called 'Anchor Yourself to Something Steady', it costs five quid, let me know if you'd like a copy. Also, if any distros would like to take some that would be amazing, if it helps, i'm totally up for swaps!
Anyway, I've probably rambled for long enough. All that remains is to say that if you'd like me to play some songs to you, just say the word, I'll play almost anywhere!
One more thing, I have not and will not charge you to download my songs, if you are on a site thats asking you to pay for downloads then its some little shitprick trying to make money off my music. I sure as hell don't make any money off it so I don't know what he's planning to achieve...
Safe, take it easy... Oi!
