I'm more apt to believe that our society suffers from a violence epidemic not a gun epidemic. I think the United States is a society that is unique to anywhere else in the world and will have violence problems no matter how the gun issue is decided.
Heck the other day in St. Paul there were three kids stabbed at a soccer game. It appears this incident was gang related. The point is that even without firearms violence will continue to grow as there are problems in this society that I'm not sure will ever be able to be fixed.
My peer group consists largely of people that own firearms and in my memory i dont recall one of these folks ever using a gun illegally or for violent purposes.
I dont want to get into a protracted argument here because Im pretty certain I'll never change your mind entirely or you change mine entirely. Just wanted to throw something out there for you to chew one.
