Hey Tom,

I always loved Y&T's Don't Stop Runnin'. Such a solid song all the way through. The only vinyl I had of theirs was In God We Trust and Contagious. I might have to dig deeper though sometime.
Yes, I have seen Into The Wild, a number of times. Love it! But one thing always bothers me. I do believe that if the girl in the trailer park was real, and looked anything close to Kristen Stewart, 16 or not...how could you not? Right?! Ridiculous!
I actually enjoy listening to the Ace album and find it has staying power. Just can't say the same for the KISS album. Hope you enjoy the show(s) though. Sure they'll be good.
And I am not a big fan of Primus, I like some of their stuff. But I do think Les Claypool is an absolute genius bass player.
Hope you're enjoying your new digs! Moving can be quite an ordeal.

Take care,

Dave

I shall make sure to keep "March" open ;) Hopefully the financial hellhole will be just hell or just a hole by then.
I is ok, how is you? You still have to give me the scoop on Vegas!
Thanks about FLOOD. Funny that - it's the one that took the longest out of that 'set' of songs to put together and get somewhat workable. Took ages.
From Ashes & Orchid are still in the 'first draft' stage. From Ashes is the one from that 'set' of songs to be taking aggggggges. Long time spent on that one. I hadn't counted on the different textures throughout making it a hard mix.

Cheers Tom, we really enjoyed it, was nice to get all the guys on for it. There has been a limit before this year on bands but seems to have become the thing for this year. Everyone seemed to turn up with a group! Appreciate your support cos back when I was knackered and forcing my arms to play again (and still am, but it's a little easier now) you were one of the few people who I listened to and pushed me to do it again, so thankyou mate. I'm enjoying playing more now than when I was younger and without medical issues.

I guess I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed with it. It's a decent album. There are a few good songs. It's just not anything special. Especially after 20 years. And it's hard to hear how his playing has diminished. The solos are pretty weak and there is not one stellar Ace guitar lick on the whole album. The best moments of Trouble Walkin', Shot Full Of Rock, Five Card Stud, Remember Me...aren't even challenged here. Space Bear is a total joke. Genghis Kahn is boring. Fractured Quantum is just alright. There are some good riffs, like the hook to Outer Space, but the rest of the song is nothing. Fox On The Run has been done, and done better, nothing better about this version. Foxy & Free, Pain In The Neck...I like. Too Many Faces, Change the World, Sister, It's a Great Life...all pretty good. Like I said, just nothing special. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars out of 5.
I was really hoping Ace's album would be better than KISS's new album. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to be the case. We'll find out this Tuesday.

Hey Tom...It's not that I don't WANT to go, I just can't justify paying $80+ for a bad seat. They have definitely priced this life-long fan right out of the live show. But if and when it comes out on dvd, I'll definitely check it out.

Tom, to answer your question about the KISS tour....NO! I will not be going. I just saw the prices and I wouldn't pay that. So, that seals it for me. I'll wait for the dvd. Hope you're well!
Cheers!

Don't know if I'm going to see the tour, maybe a last minute/day of the show decision if I do. But I'll definitely be picking up the cd on release day. The new Ace is on the way. Can't wait to hear both.
And I started a new job this week. It's mind-numbingly boring/on my feet all day work, but I'm glad to have a job. I've got a Beatles box set and new KISS cd's to pay for, you know?!
I'll give you my Ace review when it arrives.
Take care, mate!
