A JOURNEYMAN MUSICIAN, played blues for over 35 years and has embarked on a new adventure into Irish/Celtic music. Enjoying playing both styles and turning new young audiences on to the power of the blues. I lead two Bands "Night Shift" and the Rakes. NightShift features The "Chief" Schabuttie Gillimae 82yr old native of Africa on Vocals. Chris Strone and I have played with many legendary blues musicians including James Cotton,Robert Jr Lockwood Nappy Brown, Joe Beard,and Kenny Neal. Also played with valley legend Pete Pearson from '99-03 and back in 94. Recorded the cd Big Pete Pearson"One More drink" with several tunes arragned by myself and others in the band.
I have opened shows for Albert King,Duke Robilliard, DownChild Blues band and Savoy Brown, Joe King Carusco, James Cotton,and Robert Cray
I won the 1993 and 1994 blues showdown sponsered by the Phx Blues Society and competed in Memphis for the national Finals in 1993.
I am working to incorporate Irish Pubstyle rock into the Nightshift songlist and maintaining a pure Irish Trad sound in the "Rakes" a la' Dubliners, Chieftains,Lunasa,Solas; Danu and Altan.

Join the Irish community in Arizona at O’Connor’s Pub, 2601 W. Dunlap Ave. in celebration of Patty’s Day in August. A fundraiser, in honor of Patty Boyle-McCrossan, will take place on August 2, 2009, at O'Connor's Pub (2601 W. Dunlap Avenue). The goal is to raise funds to offset Patty's extensive medical bills. A silent auction, 50/50 raffle, lunch buffet, and a full day of live entertainment, including Irish step dancers, Irish bagpipers, and musicians will begin at noon.
