Sounds Like
you want to give me the opportunity of a life-time.
I am an independent musician, and a graphic designer living in Nashville, TN.
My band is called Tommy and the Whale. Go there to hear more songs of mine performed with a full band. That is not what you will hear here. Some of these songs have since been recorded with the band, and some of them haven't. Maybe they will... maybe they won't. Either way, this is where it starts.
I make these at home using mostly garageband or whatever is in the room at the time.
I make these for myself, and I hope you enjoy them too.
I don't own a studio.
I have no money to pay anyone to record these.
I have no record deal.
I don't spend time making this music perfect, and I think that's perfect.
I am an artist, and I hope that one day I can do this for a living.
As for now... It's all about the love.
I hope you love it too.
I made a poem for you. Try to imagine it read to the beat of an up-beat Dr. Seuss christmas album...
These are songs made up in spare time. It's a lot less in-depth, It's a break for my mind. I make them at home so they do sound "lo-fi". I work for my money so I can't spend a dime. These sounds have a heart though, and I get quite attached. They are rough and they're loose, but I like them like that. For every good song has a story behind. That's all that this is. These are me. This is mine.
I just decided for nostalgia's sake to cruise around on myspace for a little while, like it was the early-mid 200-'s again. Man it's like a ghost town in here. The winds of change have blown. Hard. Blown Hard. ANyway you'll probably check this in a few months or so and I just want you to know, I still love your songs. Even if everyone has moved on to twitter or whatever.
