About me: Born in Brooklyn, NY on Jan. 8, 1981. I come from a long line of Mets fans in my family, thanks to my grandfather.
I played little league through college baseball with number 8 on my uniform to honor my favorite player "The Kid" Gary Carter.
I love to listen to WFAN NY, especially the Schmoozer, and I love to talk Mets news with fellow Mets fans.
This page is dedicated to my grandfather, who I spent hours with everyday talking about our beloved Mets.
Matt wanted to share this with you:
It only took Nelson Figueroa thirteen years to make his start in a New York Mets uniform. Figueroa the pride of Coney Island in Brooklyn, was drafted by his hometown team in 30th round in 1995 draft. Leading up to his return to Shea, he hadn't won a game in the bigs since 2003. Since then it had been a long road for Figueroa pitching in Mexico, Taiwan, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean Series. Through all of that, Figueroa won MVP awards in the Taiwan and Caribbean championships. To read more click the link.
