The 2008 debut album First Words came together over the course of three years, working alone, late at night, when kids and dogs are sleeping. In the margins of a busy life, Garret carves out time to keep writing and recording, to keep improving. It's a slow process, but like crushing coal under pressure, eventually you get a few diamonds.
