Congratulations on the Grammy. The lifetime award is a terrific achievement, but I would argue, considering your contributions to the fields of songwriting and performing, that a second Lifetime award is due. You have created a repertoire of all kinds of music, including many songs that have become so well known that they are now simply a part of the "traditional" songbag. As you continue to write, perform, and record at an amazing rate, you have created a body of work worthy of two or three lifetimes. Thanks for nearly fifty years of moving and motivating music.
