We play original groove type, beat oriented, not quite downtempo jazz and interesting arrangements of classic jazz and some rock tunes. We use a yamaha qy100 drum machine and a breath controller for more of a groove with the drum and sax sounds. We are available for booking as the mood music is perfect for classy get-togethers and high end entertainment. The music as you hear is played live. Tom Ptacek is probably best known as the co-owner of the Westport Coffeehouse in Kansas City. He also has a studio there www.surrealvideo.com and has directed a television show there in the theater for over 10 years. What many people don't know is that he plays and writes music (piano, guitar, and virtual instruments) and plays at the Westport Coffeehouse with Mike Ptacek on bass on the last Friday of each month.
