Born in the famous "Fensch Valley" deep in the French Lorraine mining area, Tom SCHAK vocal - guitar – harmonica - plays live since the late 60's.
Live-unplugged performer, Tom has participated in a bunch of bands, touring a lot around France, Luxemburg, Belgium and Germany.
Main participations : Nashville Freedom Pact, Boeuf Mode, Yellow Cab, Blue Magoo's, Eastern Baton Rouge, Bruno MAMAN, Tommy TALTON's Realizers ... as well as with his own bands.
Influences : folk & protest-singers including Wooddy GUTRHIE, Leadbelly, Alan LOMAX, Pete SEEGER, Bob DYLAN ... - the blues through John MAYALL, Peter GREEN, Eric CLAPTON, Mick TAYLOR - then back to the roots with Robert JOHNSON, Brownie McGHEE, Muddy WATERS, Howling WOLF ... - the singers / songwiters through James TAYLOR, CROSBY - STILLS - NASH & YOUNG, POCO, AMERICA, Van MORRISON, COWBOY, Livingston TAYLOR ...
