In 2001 I published a work titled "Timeline of Evolution, Culture and Knowledge", a printed wall chart of 78"x53" that offers an outline of 13,7 billion years of 'universal history', in which the recent cultural history on Earth has been elaborated extensively. The history of the sciences, literature, the arts, philosophy and religion, have been mapped in a coherent manner: over 4000 important movements, representatives, and their key publications have been situated in time and space. It took me four years of blood, sweat and tears to work this timeline out, from the first letter to the first offset print. I developed it during my studies moral sciences at the University of Ghent. There are plans for an English version, I hope to publish this in 2008.
I devote a part of my free time to skepticism. In 2000 I founded a magazine with the Belgian skeptics, an independent non profit organisation. The first years I also designed this magazine, today I am still editor, surrounded by a great team of friends and colleagues.
The last few years I am also orientated on more artistic projects at "Bobbejaan Records", the company of my dad: Bobbejaan, a Belgian singer-songwriter, entertainer and founder of the Bobbejaanland theme park.
This is the place where I grew up with my parents, my brothers and sisters (cfr. images). Since 1961 this family concern grew (rather organicly) from a marsh to one of the more popular theme parks in Europe. (more).
April 2004 the family took the decision to sell the park, after a preparatory period of more than three years. In the mean time my dad and I are focused again on his music career. We recorded a new album in our home studio, released in May 2008. Please visit also the Bobbejaan myspace.
