For me (Tom): Stryper was a huge influence for me to go into Christian Rock. They were the first Christian Rock group that actually looked and performed the way I thought the music should be. Larry Norman also captured that.
Nightwish is a band that displays the character and sound of true rock music.
Reo Speedwagon as well was a huge influence on good lyrics and good music equal great success.
