About me:
I am an ex-school teacher turned Congressman. I bravely stand up to corporate interests, the White House, and special interest groups in opposing the dangers in illegal immigration. I am the founder of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus and the Team America PAC. I voted for H.R. 4437 which is an enforcement only bill that builds a 700 mile double layer fence, allows local police to enforce immigration laws,and sets up a social security verification system to make sure illegal immigrants aren't hired. I recently ran first in a straw poll for President at a Michigan Lincoln Day dinner.

jazzed on java	May 15 2007 2:26 PM i completely agree with james's comment! big business does not have america or her people in their best interest yet that is who seems to be directing america. also, i thought one of the foundations of my party, the republican party was to see that the fed govt didn't get too big for it's britches and steam roll state govt?! let each state determine how they want to proceed with things like abortion and stem cell research..we don't have to fund it! the american people are having option after option taken away from them, what's the point in having individual states anymore?!
