About me: Tomungovan (a.k.a. Tom Mungovan) is an artist specializing in Surrealism and Portrait Drawings. From the very beginning, Surrealism has played a very important role in his life.
Using colored pencils, drawing pencils, illustration boards and shading sticks; along with his training at the Art Institute’s of Seattle and Houston, Tomungovan creates surrealistic images that intertwine real objects put in unreal ways, and portrait drawings that are worthy of family heirloom traditions.
While trying to keep the creative fires burning, he owns and operates Van-Mungo Graphics, a complete graphic design and illustration studio in Nashua, NH, as well as, two primary subdivisions; an .. store for surrealism t-shirts drawn by Tomungovan, and a consultancy business for making printing and graphic design more affordable. He also frequently teaches visual communications courses at Hesser College in New Hampshire. In addition, he is also co-author of “The Screenplay Workbook: The Writing Before The Writing” published by Long Eagle Publications in 2003, and has penned over 27 poetry books. Currently, he is authoring a textbook on how-to become a successful freelance graphic designer.
Tomungovan’s greatest influence as an artist is surrealist Rene Magritte. He also checks his e-mail about 12 times a day and lives in Southern, New Hampshire. He is a true visionary.
"Above anything else I do, my hope is that when people view my artwork, they don’t have to understand it or even like it, but at least they can try to appreciate it.”
