THE SAMURAI ON THE KILLER SEASON
Hip Hop music was kind of strong messages from the streets when it arrived on the scene.
Since then, thirty years have passed and it has been produced with the aim of money.
Yuichiro and Kahn were destined to meet each other in Bangkok in the time of Hip Hop in its secondary growth.
Though they started to climb the ladder to success separately ten years ago, they finally set up Hip Hop unit “ Tom Yum Samurai “ in 2008.
They are obviously different from the current trend.
You hear them wild, distorted, hard and new, so they are sure to attract genuine Hip Hop addicts who are peculiar to it.
They don’t comply with Hip Hop in the States which is commercially produced.
Their relics have strong messages and their underground sound is dirty.
Hip Hop DNA has evolved from originators for a long time and will further evolve when it arrives in Asia from South Bronx in N.Y.
Its original value which tied Asia and N.Y will grow greater.
Hip Hop will never die.
Tom Yum Samurai’s mission is to regain the impulse of the time when you got immersed yourself in Hip Hop with full volume.
Introduction of the members of Tom Yum Samurai
“Thaitanium” which is very popular in Thailand consists of six guys : Kahn, Way, Day, Big, Calo and DJ Buddha.
They performed with many famous rappers such as JAY-Z and 50 cents after they won MTV Asian Music Award.
They organize Asian Hip Hop Festival at the largest arena which accommodates tens of thousands of people in Bangkok in 2008.
Many rappers from Asian countries will be expected to take part in it.
And also, they are now asking American big names to participate in it.
Of course, “Tom Yum Samurai” will do so and Dandee from “Money Exchange” which is a member of a “Thai
tanium” family.
“Tom Yum Samurai” is formed based on the members from various countries and the various kind of cultures.
As you know, “Tom Yum Kung” is kind of hot mixed soup and is familiar to Japanese.
Yuichiro called “Iceman” is now performing in various creative areas such as movies as well as music not confined to the limited areas.
He took part in “Fuji Rock Festival” in 2003 and the movie in which he acted as a director regarding its draft, music and production was officially nominated in the competition in “20th TOKYO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL” resulting in getting high evaluation.
There was no room for Hip Hop in Bangkok ten years ago.
Kahn and Yuichiro encountered each other and the other samurais joined them as the time has passed.
“Tom Yum Samurai” will go into a next phase looking for a new world.
This first EP “SUPER SIZE DEMO” will be released aimed at Osaka where “TERRY THE AKI-06”, his rival who are dead, was born.
All the members of “Tom Yam Samurai” were getting along with “Terry” and now pay tribute to him here.
