tone arm: n. 1. The free-swinging arm of a phonograph that holds the pick up and allows the needle to follow the groove of the record.
Tone Arm formed in early 2003. Their sound is a mash up of jangly sixties pop, soul ballads, bluesy rave-ups, psychedelic freak-outs, spy movie soundtracks, surf music, and rockabilly.
The band has performed regularly to a loyal fanbase in and around Detroit at venues such as Magic Stick, Jacoby's, Small's, The Belmont, The New Dodge, Berkley Front, Club Bart, the Elbow Room, the Garden Bowl.
A three song EP containg "Poor Mia", "No Reply", and "Now She's Gone" was recorded in March of 2004, followed by an appearance at the D-Pollen Festival in May of that year. Stayed Tuned for Show Dates to see Tone Arm Live!

Not Much Here YET, but I wanted to get it goin to light a fire up under my ass to start producin more music...so what you have here is a page in the works, with two (older)songs also in the works.......Thanks for checkin and I hope to get up some more material soon! I think that with my passion for film/filmmaking my music tends to end up sounding like soundtrack music....but I plan to also work on more hip hop flavored stuff, as well as eventually adding, lyrics/lyricists and live instrumentation.

Come dancing this Saturday, (July 22nd), at the New Dodge Lounge in Hamtramck! It's the biggest and best show we've ever put on! We'll have two other great bands, (Hoss Burley and The Most Beautiful Losers), plus Pat the Painter, who will create masterpieces while the bands play, and Lightshow Bob, who is the greatest Lightar player in the known Universe....
