Why Tongue-2-Tongue: Provoking Critical Dialogues Among Women of Color?
In the segregated reality that is not only Los Angeles but persists across all geographic, sexual, racial, gender, and class borders, we believe that provoking honest and difficult dialogue is a critical first step toward building and strengthening community alliances. Tongue-2-Tongue hopes to act as a spark that re-ignites past conversations relevant to queer women of color while also addressing new and difficult topics that have hindered more productive and radical cross-collaborations. We envision the effects of the event lasting beyond the three days; thus, we understand Tongue-2-Tongue as only one strategy in mobilizing a collective movement that truly reflects our lives, desires, and politics.
Mission Statement:
To create spaces for Queer womyn of color, gender non-conforming individuals of color, and trans people of color to dialogue about our experiences; to respond to the critical issues created out of our intersecting oppressions, and to help build an inclusive social justice movement.

About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

Just wanted to spread the word about Hawaii's own Tia Carrere and Daniel Ho, and their Grammy nominated album Ikena, featuring "The Spam Song."
If you want to hear audio clips or read liner notes, they have a page here and we even saw a cute video of "The Spam Song" on YouTube, too! :)
We're rooting for them on The Grammy Awards! Go Tia and Daniel!
Alrighty. Take care and have a great day :)
