Hailing from Tucson, AZ. Tongue Dried Sun (TDS) is a blue collar rock band that will always leave you wanting more! Paul (vocals/guitar), Wyatt (guitars), Steve (drums/percussion) and Joey (Bass) have been entertaining the Southwest for over a decade. With their high energy shows and tight musicianship they have been invited to open up for handfuls of National Acts. Their last five shows being the Tempe Music Festival (Tom Morello, Mute Math, All American Rejects & 3Doors Down) and one off shows with Eagles of Death Metal, Candlebox, Scott Weiland (STP/Velvet Revolver) and Journey. Upon Neal Schons’ request TDS was the only opening act on Journeys entire 2009 “Don’t Stop Believing Tour”. Past acts they’ve played with include: Collective Soul, The Nuge, Alice Cooper, David Lee Roth, Jimmy Eat World and others.
Wanting to do a high quality that represents how they sound live TDS decided to team up with the Prolific American Producer/Engineer team of Dave Jerden and Bryan Carlstrom whom credits include (Alice in Chains, Janes Addiction, Offspring) for an eight week stint in the studio to record TDS’s latest release “Zero Hour” in Dec of 2007. That eight weeks turned into a six month project and was the hardest time of the band career. Pushing and testing their dedication, talents, friendships and all other aspects of life. They got throught it! The outcome was a superb record filled with so much emotion through melodies and music you can’t help but feel like you’ve traveled back in time to the classic albums with sonic sounds of the future. The first release “Holiday” went to college radio and hit 1 in Monroe, LA. on 91X a 275,000 listener station and broke into the top 10 in over 20 cities across the country.
