Here she is, this multi-talented music professional, who writes, arranges, produce and performs all of her music is truly a quiet storm. This is what you will feel, not only when you hear her music but when you sit and talk with her. She is definitely a woman of character, & soul.
Toni Ann is simply a rose that has grown in a concrete jungle, (New York City). As a young child her mother noticed her creating instruments with things around the house making musical sounds that was unheard of for a child at such a young age. So mom quickly jumped on the chance to make it happen for her little girl and purchased her, her first guitar. Toni, by the age of ten had already taught herself how to read and play music. As a preteen she recorded her first song.
Well enough of the history lesson, what is this jazzy, R&B vocalist up to these days, she has premiere New York City night clubs begging her to perform and famous R&B recording artist wanting her to open for them. Can you blame them? I am telling you Toni Ann Semple is a must have in your music rotation. Toni Ann released her debut album Wakanda in stores now, an inspirational blend of jazzy, R&B songs fashioned with Native Indian chants that will capture your soul right where you stand.
Her accomplishments do not go unannounced; she has performed and worked with such greats as:
Merlene Ward, Bassist Fred Cash, Marc Cary, Norman Hedman, Mary Wormworth, Kesmit Lyles, Mark Adams, Will Downing jr., Toshi Kankawa (Renowned Japanese Jazz Organist), Ty Stephens, Tom Barney, Steve Kroon, Al B. Sure, The Randam Schwartz Leslie Ford Connection.
Toni Ann has clearly made her mark in the industry and continues to blossom day after day and song after song. All of this motivation and inspiration as you can guess came from her mother. Toni says before my mother made her transition from this world to the spiritual one, she told me it was very important that I started to embrace my Native American Heritage. It was one of the scariest, not to mention the most challenging experiences in my life. I didn't know how to put chanting in my music let alone chant. Soon after her passing, I learned real fast and now its a natural flow for me. If it wasn't for my mom, I probably would have given up music professionally already. She was instrumental in my music development. A song entitled "Since you've been gone" is a dedication to her.

Toni Ann Semple stands alone, with her unique, distinctive sound. Her music is not something that you should let captivate you, because it will do it on its own. So sit back, listen and relax this journey is definitely one that deserves a round trip ticket, to enjoy again and again. Toni also adds, as I continue to grow spiritually with my music, I know my dedicated listeners will come on the journey with me, my writing will take them on their own journey and I'm sure the experience will be a healing and pleasant one.
